It’s easy to get to Newfold farm by rail or bus. Edale is right in the middle of the Sheffield to Manchester ‘Hope Valley Line’ with trains arriving from each direction hourly. We also now have semi-regular bus services in the village connecting us to Buxton and Bakewell, which stops at the bottom of the village outside the train station.
From the train station, turn left up the main road on foot and head on past the Ramblers Inn on your left. Continue up the road passing the Moorland centre on the right and the church on the left. At the top of the road where the village square opens out, directly ahead of you is The Old Nags Head pub. The entrance to Newfold Farm is on the left hand side opposite the parking in front of the pub and the village school.
As you’ve turned into the village of Edale, take it steady the rest of the way. It’s one small road to the top of the village where we are and we get a lot of people, cyclist and cars visiting.
You’ll pass the turn off left to the train station,
Pass the Rambler Inn,
The road thins off here, passing the Peak Centre, information centre and campsite and then the church,
Slow right down as the road starts to widen again, you’ll see the Old Nags Head in front and the school on your right.
On the left, a telephone box, post box and our entrance!
If you are bringing your car or campervan to the campsite, please take care to drive slowly up the road approaching the campsite. The road is narrow and there are walkers, dogs, stray sheep and children playing.
Send an enquiry or question with as much detail as possible (i.e booking ref, not booked yet, arrival date etc) and one of the campsite team will get back to you as soon as possible.
